AI Foundations for Experienced Professionals — Cohort 1

You have spent decades getting good at your work. Nobody handed you a manual for the tools that are now showing up inside every application you use, and most of what is written about AI is either hype or a sales funnel. This course is the manual — written for people with real careers, real judgement, and no patience for jargon.

AI Foundations for Experienced Professionals is a six-week live program taught by Alex Haynes, Managing Partner at Unmutedco, who has spent 23 years in enterprise technology and 20 years in media and broadcast, and who has designed and governed AI rollouts for very large organizations. There is no math in this course and no programming. There is a lot of doing.

Each week you join one 75-minute live session (recorded and posted within 24 hours), then work through short daily exercises from the included 30-Day Field Guide — about 20 minutes a day. A weekly "Ask Alex" office hour is there for whatever the exercises turned up. By week six you present one real project to the cohort: something you built with AI that you will actually use.

What we cover, in order: what AI actually is and isn't, and the five tools that matter; your first ten wins in writing, research, summarizing, organizing and planning; safety and trust — scams, deepfakes, privacy, what you must never paste into an AI tool, and how to verify an answer; AI in your current role, including Copilot in Microsoft 365 and Gemini in Google Workspace; AI for your second act, whether that is consulting, board work, part-time work, a small business or volunteering; and finally your own AI operating system — a personal workflow and the habits that keep it running.

Who this is for: professionals with fifteen or more years of experience, people re-entering the workforce, and members of alumni, faith, civic and professional networks who want to keep working on their own terms. You need a laptop, a free account with ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini or Claude, and a willingness to try things out loud.

You leave with a Certificate of Completion (AI Foundations — Unmuted AI), a working set of tools you understand, and a completed capstone. A group rate of $397 per seat applies to five or more registrations from the same organization or network.
