About This Course

The Tool Library is the members' reference shelf: one short page per tool, kept current, written the way we use them in the Unmuted AI programs. Each page answers three questions — what the tool is for, when we reach for it, and what must never be pasted into it — and is revised whenever the tool changes materially, which is often. It is deliberately short. Most AI guidance fails because it is either a 40-page manual or a list of prompts with no judgement attached; this is neither. The five pages cover ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, Claude, and the assistants embedded in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. Alongside each page we note the free-tier limits that matter, the settings worth changing on day one, and the one habit that keeps you out of trouble with that particular tool. This class is included with the Unmuted AI Membership and is not sold separately. Foundations students will recognize the material from week one and week four; members get the maintained version. If you are choosing which tool to standardize on for a team, read all five and then bring the question to the Monthly Masterclass. Written and maintained by Alex Haynes, Managing Partner at Unmutedco, with 23 years in enterprise technology and 20 in media and broadcast. Updates are logged at the top of each page with the date. How to use it: when a colleague asks "should we be using X?", open that tool's page first — it is written to be read in three minutes and forwarded. When a tool adds a feature that changes the safety picture, the page changes the same week. The library is also the reference set behind the Foundations safety module, so if you have been through the course the rules will be familiar; if you have not, the five pages are the shortest honest introduction to the tools that we know of. Members can suggest additions or corrections through this class's Support area, and the most-asked questions become the next masterclass topic.
